Netiquette
Netiquette at WEPS.AG is a set of rules for interaction among users on the WEPS.AG web pages.
They are a requirement for the WEPS.AG memberships and communities and are part of our Terms & Conditions.
By registering with WEPS.AG and the Communities you acknowledge these rules.
Netiquette: basic principles
- A culture of trust and reliability is a priority
- Respect for fellow users and moderators
- Friendly, helpful and professional behaviour
- Considerate behaviour even if opinions, skills, educations and attitude differ
- Acceptance of other cultures and viewpoints
- Balanced give-and-take
- Complete profile details and a photograph
- Honesty and integrity
Netiquette: for groups
- Using the network without entering a complete set of personal details and a photograph is undesirable
- Mass postings are forbidden
- Promoting your own services or products outside of the area reserved for this purpose is not permitted
- Private or commercial surveys and data collection require prior agreement with WEPS.AG
- No requests to participate in chain letters or send mass mails
- No insults or disputes, personal criticism or attacks directed at other individuals, moderators, WEPS.AG or the Community team
- As much as possible, ask clear and specific questions
- Post your questions in the groups corresponding to the topic
- Do not ask any chain questions. Specific questions can be answered more easily and professionally
- Please do not ask members to participate in surveys organised by you, your employer or an organisation.
- In case of violations, a warning will be issued or the posting removed without comment; if necessary, you will be excluded from the community.
Netiquette: don’ts
- Using pseudonyms instead of a real name, incomplete personal details, failing to include a photo
- Sending ulterior business offers and advertising messages (network marketing) ? there is an extra notice board for this
- Invitations to controversial organisations or denominations
- Personal hostility etc.
- Sending marketing mails and chain letters
- Addressing people indiscreetly or suggestively or sending invitations to get-togethers of this kind
- Sending messages intended to divide, unsettle or annoy the community
- Posting unlawful, offensive or polemic content.
If any of theses principles are violated, the respective members will receive a warning. If there are repeated violations, these members will be excluded and if necessary, legal action will also be taken.
If you should receive unsolicited marketing emails from other individuals please contact WEPS.AG or the community administrator and include the respective information or email. The same applies to harassment and violations to the Terms & Conditions of Business or Netiquette.
Anyone violating netiquette rules will be excluded from the network (see Terms & Conditions).
